MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT!
We entered into contract over 12 months in Sept. 2012. Plenty of time to have it finished before the summer. We were told it would take approx. 12-16 weeks. Summer has now come and GONE and we have an unfinished pool with many outstanding issues. The salesman
Richard does an excellent job convincing perspective customers that Skyler pools offer top quality products and they pride themselves in customer service. We were assured that there would be an assigned foreman or the owner himself would be on site to supervise
everyday. NOT the case. We had to be our own supervisors and make several calls and emails to assure they addressed our issues. No one checked the poor workmanship and there was a ton of it! First of all , they installed a low grade travertine on our deck.
When we were in the showroom they display top quality stone so of course we decided to choose this upgrade. Then they deliver travertine riddled with imperfections.... Holes, cracked pavers, and chipped corners. Crooked joint lines in many areas , and the
worst is that it isn't pitched properly, so when it rains water pools and collects outside our home and this can cause big problems overtime. The owner Bruce Davis refuses to address this. The pool finish was just as problematic. It was the splotchiest blue
and white We have ever seen. It was bumpy and so rough that the first time we used it our children had multiple abrasions on their feet in just minutes! We chose glass cap tiles as an upgrade and they installed broken ones with sharp exposed edges. Multiple
emails and photos and about 4 weeks later they finally agreed to resurface the pool. WHY Didn't they address these issues themselves?? Now our new pool is no longer a " new pool " , but a resurface. They have to go over the existing plaster. They are using
the same subcontractors who messed up the application the first time so we are hopeful, but have little confidence that this will look any better. The staff tries to be helpful, but they are limited in what they could do and did I mention there's been at least
3 different customer service ladies we've dealt with since the start? We've paid in full months ago, and this has been extremely frustrating, stressful and disappointing. We have no idea when this will be finished and terrified it wont be done right! We have
been very patient and all we want is to have the beautiful pool we were promised and paid for. We regret having to write negative reviews and if and when our issues are addressed We will certainly update.
