Avoid this company!!!! You will lose your money.
I had contracted Interior Renovations of Jupiter to construct and install custom closet cabinetry. We had worked out the design and were at the phase where they were going to provide a schedule to start the engineering drawings and materials list. At that point, I had difficulties contacting the owners, Rick and Blair “Ky” Bruttell. They would never pick up the phone or return calls. After some work and persistence on my part, I was able to contact Rick Bruttell who assured me he would put together a schedule in the following day or two for my job. Two days later, I received letter from the owners in certified mail. After reading this letter, I had very understandable concerns about their ability to do this project. After some more persistence on my part, which included waiting at their shop and repeated calling, they agreed to meet with me. At that meeting, they informed me that they had financial difficulties but had a plan where I pay additional money, this time directly to the suppliers and workers to try and get the project started. I told them I was not comfortable working that way and that the contract had a cancellation clause I wish to execute. They would need to return my deposit less the cancellation fee. No material was purchased yet. In fact, they still had not done any of the detailed measured drawings. That’s when they told me they were unable to write me a check because they had no money. They had used the money to complete previous jobs that they were having lengthy issues with. In talking with the shop people and the salesperson, I found out that they were trying to contract other jobs, including mine to try to fund other jobs.
I am also directing people on filing complaints against the owners with the appropriate government agencies. Please email me and I will provide contact information.
